Hi, Iβm Craig, a FiFo mining dad worker in Australia, and Dad to 2 children that are growing up fast. Iβve been working away from home all my life so now I am on a journey to change this and make the changes to like-minded FiFo workers. That want to break free from the long stressful shifts and be home with their families. My mission is to generational change, guiding other mining dads to live differently and empower them to be role models to their children, showing them that anything is possible when we step away from the norm.
Just ask me HOW and we can have a chat and if you the right fit I will send you some info..
Not everyone will understand why you're chasing something different, especially those who've never stepped outside their own comfort zone.
Some people will question your decisions, doubt your plans or tell you why it won't work.
But here's the thing...
Their doubts don't have to become yours.
I've spent years working FIFO, and one thing I've learnt is that if you want something to change, you've got to be willing to try something different.
Surround yourself with people who encourage you to grow, challenge yourself and have a crack at something new.
Take advice from people who've actually walked the path you're looking to take.
The rest? Take it with a grain of salt. βοΈ
What's your take? π
22 years working FIFO and one thing I've learnt...
It's not always the big holidays or expensive things.
Sometimes it's just taking the kids out for sushi and being there. π£
These are the moments that matter.
Any other FIFO dads feel the same?
The best part of FIFO? That feeling when you finally pull into the driveway. π‘
Another swing done. Back where I belong, with the people who matter most.
After years of working away, those moments hit a little differently.
It's also one of the reasons I've started building something alongside FIFO.
Still working. Still learning. Just seeing where this next chapter takes me.
Any other FIFO dads know this feeling? π
22 years working FIFO, and one thing I've learnt is you don't get that time back.
I'm no guru, mate. Still doing my swings, still raising a family, and still figuring things out.
But seeing everyday blokes having a crack at building something online made me realise I could have a go too.
So that's exactly what I'm doing.
Building a business alongside FIFO, promoting a premium product and learning as I go.
No overnight success story here. Just a FIFO dad having a crack at something different. π
Curious about what I'm doing? Send me a message and I'll share some info.
Another day making memories with the family. βοΈ
After years of working FIFO, I've realised it's not just about the money. It's about having choices and making the most of the time we've got together.
I'm still working FIFO, still learning and still building my online business on the side.
No overnight success story here, mate. Just working towards something different.
Any other FIFO dads thinking about their next chapter?
Every FIFO worker knows the feeling. βοΈ
Counting down the days until you're back home with family, only to start the countdown all over again.
After years of working FIFO in the mining industry, I've started building an online business alongside my full-time job.
I'm still doing the swings, still learning and still putting in the work.
Not chasing overnight success. Just working towards a future where the FIFO roster isn't my only option.
Any other FIFO dads out there thinking about their next chapter? π
π₯ WORK HARD. STAY CONSISTENT. LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUILDING.
Arnold Schwarzenegger said it perfectly: Work hard and advertise what you do.
And that message hits differently when you're building something alongside a FIFO career. π·ββοΈ
After more than 22 years working FIFO, one thing I've learnt is that nothing worthwhile happens without effort.
But here's the thingβ¦
Working hard at your job is one thing.
Finding the energy, discipline and commitment to build something of your own alongside it? That's another challenge altogether.
I'm still working my roster.
I'm still learning the online business space.
I'm still putting in the effort.
Some days are productive. Others are challenging.
But I'm not expecting overnight success.
Because it's not just about working hard. It's about consistently showing up for something you believe is worth building.
And sometimes, you've got to put yourself out there and let people know what you're doing.
π¬ To my fellow FIFO dads β what's keeping you motivated to keep pushing towards your goals?
π Drop it in the comments.
My accountant probably has nothing to worry about just yet π
Here I am in Bali, laptop open, pretending I know what I'm doing.
Reality? Still working FIFO, still building my online business and still learning plenty along the way.
And no, just because I've got my laptop beside the pool doesn't mean I can claim the whole holiday on tax. π
Online businesses have tax rules too, just like any other business.
For now, I'm enjoying the journey and having a crack at something different.
Who else takes their laptop on holidays and tells the missus they're only checking one thing? ππ
Another swing done, another flight home. βοΈ
FIFO's been part of my life for years, but I'm not planning on it being my only chapter.
Still doing the swings, still showing up for the family, and building something on the side.
Any other FIFO dads doing the same? ππ
