Let’s talk about press-on nails

I’ve actually been getting quite a few questions about press-ons lately, so I thought today I’d share a little more info about them!

I personally think press-ons can be a great option, especially for special occasions, short-term wear, or if you just love changing up your nails!

There are also so many talented nail techs creating beautiful custom press-on sets.

Just like any nail enhancement, the important part is proper application, wear, and removal.

If a press-on starts lifting, try not to just add more glue and stick it back down. Once there’s a gap, water or moisture can get underneath. Gluing it back down can trap that moisture inside, which can create an environment for bacteria or fungus to grow.

If you notice lifting, moisture, discoloration, pain, or anything that doesn’t look right, it’s better to remove it and check your natural nail before putting anything back on.

And please don’t rip or peel them off 😅 You can accidentally take layers of your natural nail with them too!

Press-ons, acrylic, gel, or natural nails — they all have their place. It’s really just about what works best for you and taking care of your natural nails underneath.
