MĀTĀTOA x LSKD X PAUSE

Last weekend we had the privilege of attending Mātātoa, Aotearoa New Zealand’s first kaupapa Māori functional fitness and CrossFit competition, designed to weave te reo Māori, tikanga Māori and physical well-being together.

LSKD NZ sponsored us to attend with our Normatec Recovery Boots to offer competitors the opportunity to recover between WODs, rehydrate and Pause for a minute.

We engaged with athletes returning after having babies, using Mātātoa to gauge their fitness level before New Zealand Nationals | 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 and partners who just wanted the opportunity to show up for themselves, their whānau, their community.

For a kaupapa close to our hearts the event was incredible to witness and be a part of 🫶🏽

Pictures captured by the incredible 𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 to highlight our beautiful culture.
