Women already hold more land than most people realize. Women make up 37% of principal nonoperating landowners and own about 25% of the 354 million acres rented out for farming nationally. In Iowa, 47% of all acres and 55% of all leased acres were owned by women. And single female homeowners in the U.S. reached a record of more than 20 million in 2025.

When I bought this land a few years ago, it was nothing but vines, overgrown weeds, trees, and dirt. It was nothing.
I thought it was something. It spoke to me the moment I stepped out of my car and set foot on the edge.
I thought to myself, I want to create a wellness space with tiny homes that brings peace to your soul, laughter and a safe place to rest and disconnect from this crazy world we are in.
I could see it in my head. I just didn’t know how. I forged ahead and created Sage By The Pond Resort and Honeysuckle & Pine Glamping with passion, love and intention.
The reactions my friends and family have bring me great joy and satisfaction.
