Bianca had lots of different ideas on hair, but eventually we went with this. And I love it!! (and more importantly so did she, lol)

I sure do envy how they did their wedding - Sky High is stunning and I would love to stay there myself one day, that view 💖 I'm sure the sunsets will be amazing from there!! And the heated saltwater plunge pool 💫 and then having someone cook for you ✨ sounds like heaven.

This week the gorgeous Emma & Brydie celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary!! And it dawned on me that I've been doing hair & makeup for quite a few years 😂 Crazy!

It was such a pleasure working with Emma (Brydie did her own hair & makeup). A special one that I still have fond memories of, a supernice time together in the morning, and I loved their sweet doggie 💖🌈

Emma wanted natural makeup and a loose romantic updo. I still love thise gorgeous updo, full of twists and braids.

Crazy fact! Two years ago on the same date, Bianca & Chris got married, and I only found out this week that they worked with the same photographer!! 📸 Isn't that just the craziest coincidence??

They were both small and intimiate events, and both were couples getting ready together. And I really enjoyed both of these weddings, on the same date, 6 years apart.

Tammy ❤️ last weekend

Tammy & Jack got married last weekend 🌼 Carmen Bunting Photography did their photos, and I can't wait to see them all!!

She did her own makeup, but did want help with her hair. Tammy was realistic, which we love! 😆 She initially wanted a half-up, but because their ceremony was going to be outdoors, she wanted something that couldn't get messed up by the wind🍃very smart!

She has thick Asian hair, and it can be hard to make it do anything it's not naturally doing. She also had a couple of cowlicks at the front, and she wanted a side part that needed to go over one of them.

I started with a low ponytail, making sure Tammy was happy with how the front looked. A ponytail as a base is very secure, and it makes it easier to create a bun from there. I pinned a little bit of padding on top of the ponytail, again, this helps the updo be more secure. Then all the other bobbypins can go in the padding. I did two twists that I shaped in a bun shaped and pinned. I used a lot of pins for Tammy's hair, like a lot! Swipe to the second pic and you'll see I'm not lying 😂 I normally don't use this many pins, but the ends of her layered hair really tried to jump out of the smooth bun, so I had to control it.

Two years ago they decided to celebrate their anniversary with friends and family with a ceremony at the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens, followed by a reception/party at Boomtown.

The brief was natural looking makeup but with darker eyes, and adding some body to the hair but keep it looking natural and kind of messy.

I could've totally seen her with a more natural eye look, I think she looks super gorgeous without any makeup, but I appreciate she knew what she liked and I love how with this dark eye makeup the eyes just look like she can look straight through you 👀 ✨

One of the one thousand one million photos I have received and have never shared. I used to be quite good at following up on receiving photos (but have gotten increasingly worse at it - so if you have photos that you've never shared with me, please do!! I LOVE seeing them).
