As Indigenous Business Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on what it means to be part of Australia's growing Indigenous business sector. 🌿

For us at Native Secrets, it's about opportunity, independence, innovation and creating something that can continue to grow for years to come.

We're proud of what we've built, grateful for the customers, partners and supporters who have been part of our journey, and excited about what lies ahead.

But Indigenous Business Month is also a reminder that supporting Indigenous businesses shouldn't be limited to October.

Real opportunities come from ongoing relationships, meaningful partnerships and recognising the value Indigenous businesses bring every day of the year.

To all the Indigenous business owners out there — keep building, keep innovating and keep backing yourselves.

And to everyone who has supported Native Secrets, thank you for being part of our story.

The best is still ahead. 💚

Who says a business from regional NSW can't have global ambitions? 🌏

At Native Secrets, we're proud of where we come from — and we're equally excited about where we're going.

From our beginnings in Dubbo to exploring business opportunities in international markets, our journey continues to demonstrate the potential of Indigenous enterprise.

We're passionate about showing that Indigenous businesses can be innovative, commercially competitive and ambitious, while staying connected to Country, community and culture.

For us, growing internationally isn't about moving away from our roots.

It's about taking our story, our products and our vision to new audiences while continuing to build opportunities back home.

Local connections. Global ambition.

That's the future we're working towards.

Supporting Indigenous businesses isn't just about making a purchase. It's about creating opportunities.

This Indigenous Business Month, we're encouraging individuals and organisations to think about how they engage with Indigenous businesses.

At Native Secrets, we've seen firsthand what genuine business relationships can make possible.

From retailers stocking our products to organisations choosing Native Secrets for their accommodation and guest amenities, these opportunities help us invest in our growth, develop new products and build a stronger Indigenous-owned enterprise.

And support doesn't always need to start with a contract.

It can start with a conversation, an introduction, a recommendation or simply taking the time to understand what an Indigenous business has to offer.

This year's theme, Local and Connected, is a reminder that lasting business relationships are built through genuine connections.

So this October, we encourage you to discover an Indigenous business in your community and start a conversation.

What does success look like for an Indigenous business?

Of course, sales, growth and new opportunities matter. But for us, success is about more than numbers.

It's about creating opportunities for our people, building relationships that last, sharing knowledge and showing the next generation that Indigenous businesses can succeed in any industry.

At Native Secrets, we're proud to be building a business that brings together culture, innovation, sustainability and commercial ambition.

We want to create a business that doesn't just grow, but creates opportunities for others along the way.

Because when Indigenous businesses grow, the benefits can reach far beyond the business itself.

That's what Indigenous Business Month means to us.

Every great business has a story. Ours begins on Country.

At Native Secrets, the Australian landscape is more than our inspiration — it's at the heart of what we do.

Our work with native botanicals, particularly White Cypress, connects our skincare products with a much bigger story of caring for Country, innovation and Indigenous enterprise.

Through Native Secrets and Secret Harvest, we're exploring how native plants can create opportunities across manufacturing, research, sustainable land management and regional economic development.

For us, Indigenous business is about recognising the value of what we already have our knowledge, our connections and the opportunities that exist on Country.

Because sometimes the greatest business opportunities are growing right in front of us.

October is Indigenous Business Month! 🌿

This year's theme, Local and Connected, is something that really resonates with us at Native Secrets.

As a 100% Indigenous-owned business based on Wiradjuri Country in Dubbo, our journey has always been about more than creating skincare products.

It's about building something meaningful. A business that celebrates native Australian botanicals, creates opportunities, strengthens relationships and demonstrates what's possible for Indigenous businesses in regional Australia.

From humble beginnings to seeing Native Secrets products reach customers across Australia and beyond, we're incredibly proud of how far we've come and excited about what's ahead.

Throughout October, we'll be sharing more of our journey, the people behind our business and what Indigenous enterprise means to us.

Here's to celebrating Indigenous businesses, our communities and the connections that help us grow.

Native ingredients go far beyond the kitchen. 🌿

This weekend we’ll be joining around 30 First Nations-owned businesses at the Australian Native Food Festival at Carriageworks.

For Native Secrets, our story begins with Australian White Cypress.

It’s one of the native botanicals at the heart of what we do from harvesting and distillation through Secret Harvest, to creating products designed for everyday skin and body care.

The festival is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible diversity of native ingredients and, importantly, the knowledge, businesses and people behind them.

Come experience it with us this weekend.
