Gasworks today, done and dusted, pack up was a breeze, so sunny toward the end of the day! And I was right next to the Mexican singer! The kids at the market had so much fun singing tunes all day and having a go on the instruments.
I’m off to my nieces Deb tonight so I’ll have to rest my feet for a bit before getting tizzy!
Next week,
Lancefield,
See you there!

I’ll be heading to the Wombat Estate Open Gardens at the end of this month, I can’t wait to go to these gardens, I’ve never been before and if you ask Rohan, he’ll tell you I’m always begging him like a dog with a lead to go to open gardens in spring!
We’ll have our sprouting kits, microgreens kits and I’m hoping to have some ceramic kits by then! Fingers crossed!!!
Tomorrow 17th Oct we have the gasworks market, see you there if you’re around and comment MEGA PACK if you’d like to get on the weekly mega pack train in Gisborne!

What a day Eltham!! I had a great day, now off for a walk and bike ride with the kids and Ro, so much to say about this market! I left feeling like I had so much work to do with talks in the planning with preventative health and growing microgreens workshops. Luckily I’m not nursing right now 🤣
Next up Gasworks! See you next sat!
A bit of fun for your Saturday!
We don’t use any pesticides or chemicals on our microgreens, we also package them up in compostable plant based containers and our seeds come in compostable packaging too!
If you’ve had a package delivered from us you’ll find it’s all compostable or recyclable….the boss has some very unhinged ideas about being eco friendly so you’ll know it’s at the very front of our minds when we’re creating our products 🌱
I spoke about an incursion I did for my daughters 3/4 on the last day of term 3, I got a lot of interest after that for more incursions! So I’m putting together a Prevention Project incursion pack, if you’d like some sent to you, comment incursion and we can have a chat about what year level or age it’s for.
Topics covered are: Nourish, Move, Connect, Sleep, Protect and a segment on growing wheel foods like microgreens.

Woodend! What. A. Day! Epic sales at the end of the day, I find that people who want fresh microgreens get in early so their faves don’t run out, like coriander and wasabi. The other customers come on buy later and get their grow kits and seed refills. I always knew I’d have a couple of different customer types but it really deepens the longer you stick at it.
Thanks for a great market, now to go home to my lovely family to relax for the afternoon!
Tomorrow I’ll be going to the Bolobek garden fair after a short stroll around the Gisborne market!
What’s everyone else up to this weekend?
See you next week at Eltham! 🌱
Pink radish sprouts also develop root hairs! And as you can probably gather, most sprouts you grow will probably have these little fuzzy fur roots when they’re very young. If they’re accompanied by a fowl smell however, it may be that they have not been drained of all their water enough and have been left to sit in water which leads to tissue breakdown. If in doubt, throw it out. Knowledge is power here though and this key piece of information may be the thing you’re searching for!

We had the Lancefield FM this morning, it was a little miserable weather wise but Kelsey next to me at northumberland growers was very happy her veggies were getting a water!
We had a special for our mega packs, 2 for $50 saving $4 and 2 small packs for $24 saving $2, is this a worth while saving for people?
Next market, we’ll see you at Woodend Farmers’ Market next weekend!

We’re on school holidays this week and next, so doing a little less on the business and more focus on the kids and home. We celebrated Rohans 40th and I held a class for 3/4 primary school kids on preventative health and growing and eating microgreens as a way of teaching them what wholefood is and relating that back to health.
Would you want to learn more about preventative health? It’s probably my favourite topic of conversation, next is probably gardening haha or anything problem solving!
