New schedule announcement!!!
Iām so excited to share that Iāll be starting at Flow Lymphatic Health Clinic this week! Itās an amazing opportunity to put into practice all the new skills I learned in my Vodder Level 3 course, and to learn from practitioners whoāve been using this technique for years.
Donāt worry, my availability at Healing Tree isnāt changing! Iāll still be there Monday to Wednesday as usual.
Iāll also still be popping in for the occasional Saturday, check the links in my bio for my most up to date availability :)

I recently completed my Vodders Level 3 Training in MLD & CDT - but what does that even mean? Swipe to find out!
What is MLD & CDT? You might see these acronyms, what do they mean?
MLD stands for Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Itās a technique your practitioner may use to stimulate your lymphatic system and help move lymph throughout your body. Itās usually relaxing and involves light, gentle pressure.
CDT stands for Combined Decongestive Therapy,
the gold standard treatment for lymphedema. It combines MLD, compression bandaging, skin care, exercise, and self-care.
Hereās how you get to Healing Tree Massage + Wellness Studio! Located in Vancouver, BC on the corner of Main and Broadway in the historic Lee Building.
Iām here Monday - Wednesdayās with occasional other days as well. You can check the link in my bio for my most up to date availability as well as to book with me :)

Hello! Thought I would pop on here and reintroduce myself since itās been a little bitš¬. My names Abbey, Iām an RMT in Waterloo, and I just celebrated 2 years of being in practice! Turns out once youāve got a full schedule of treating itās significantly harder to make time to post on your instagramš„²
I make absolutely no promises to be as active on here as when I first started but my goal is to be around at least a little bit moreāš»
Hope everyone has a lovely day!

āSo, why massage therapy?ā
This is a question I get asked a lot and honestly, great question! Hereās how I usually answer it:)
In high school I was fascinated by anatomy and biology, itās crazy how the human body works! I knew I wanted to continue to study those subjects somehow but I wasnāt sure what that path looked like. My grandma was a massage therapist so I always knew this profession was an option but I also considered going into forensics and even looked into being a mortician (kind of crazy I knowš± but Abby from NCIS was really my idol at that point).
I took two years off after high school: one to work full time and save up and the second to travel. I hung out in Europe and Thailand for while āļøš“. I am so happy I took those years off, not only was it an amazing experience but it gave me the time to figure out what I really wanted to do.
So in April 2018 when my plane touched down in Canada (in the middle of an ice storm no less) I applied to start school at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) that fall and the rest is history!
Iām so happy I chose this profession. Not only do I have a tangible skill that I can pack up with me and take anywhere but I get to interact with amazing (livingš) people everyday. I get to share my love of anatomy and see the results of my work first hand, sometimes immediately, which is so rewarding. I love the freedom of being able to choose how I practice as well, what I want to focus on, and where and when I work.
And that is why I chose
Big shoutout to for posting her āwhyā and inspiring me to do the sameš
