My brother Maksym is in Ukraine, defending our country. Living in the UK, far away from him, I worry about his safety every day. It’s hard knowing someone you love is in danger when you can’t be there to help.

That’s why I’m raising £8,500 to buy a reliable van for my brother and his fellow soldiers. They urgently need this vehicle, and I can’t reach this goal alone. ❤️

🏆 From Nervousness to Finding My Wings — My First Massage Championship! ❤️

Sometimes the most unforgettable moments in life begin with stepping outside your comfort zone.

The UK National Massage Championship 2026 was my very first massage competition, and I was incredibly nervous!

I was so overwhelmed by the emotions of the day that I barely had a chance to appreciate the performances of the other competitors. My mind was completely focused on my own performance.

But then something extraordinary happened…

✨ I received the Head Judge’s Special Award for Excellence in Client Care!

With almost 130 competition entries across 8 categories, the judges presented just 5 Head Judge Special Awards, alongside one overall Judges’ Excellence Award.

And I was the only therapist to receive the award for Excellence in Client Care! 🏆

I can’t quite describe that feeling. All the nerves, doubts and pressure suddenly turned into happiness, pride and an incredible sense of possibility.

It felt as though I’d suddenly grown wings! 🪽

And when I finally had the opportunity to watch the Grand Final, I could truly appreciate the incredible talent around me.

Such inspiring therapists, beautiful techniques, creativity and professionalism! Watching them reminded me just how much there is to discover in the wonderful world of massage.

I arrived at my first championship full of nerves and uncertainty, but I left feeling inspired, recognised and more motivated than ever to continue growing.

Sometimes all it takes is one brave step to discover that you’re capable of so much more than you imagined. 🤍

🏆 An Incredible Achievement at the UK National Massage Championship 2026!

This year, I took part in the National Massage Championship for the very first time, competing alongside talented massage therapists from across the UK.

The championship featured almost 130 competition entries across 8 categories, showcasing a wide variety of massage techniques and professional skills.

In addition to the competition awards, there were only 6 special judges’ awards presented across the entire championship — 5 Head Judge Special Awards and 1 Judges’ Excellence Award.

I am incredibly proud and honoured to have been the only recipient of the Head Judge’s Special Award for Excellence in Client Care! 🏆❤️

This recognition means so much to me because it reflects the philosophy behind my work — a holistic, personalised approach, professional expertise and genuine care for every client.

I believe massage is more than just a treatment. It’s an opportunity to understand each person’s individual needs, support their wellbeing and create an experience where they feel truly cared for.

For me, massage is more than a sequence of techniques. It is a way of communicating with the body, understanding its responses and finding a natural flow between strength and softness.

There is something beautiful about the connection between movement, rhythm and touch. When everything comes together, massage becomes more than a treatment — it becomes an experience.

Because sometimes the most beautiful conversations happen without a single word. 🤍

And perhaps that is what I love most about my profession — the ability to create something different for every person, using nothing more than knowledge, experience and my hands.

What actually happens when your muscles get tired? 💪

Muscle fatigue is more interesting than simply “running out of energy”.

During exercise, your muscles need a constant supply of energy to keep contracting. As the intensity increases, the body has to produce that energy faster. Metabolites accumulate, the balance of ions involved in muscle contraction changes, and the nervous system also begins to reduce how strongly it can drive the working muscles.

That familiar feeling of heavy, tired or burning muscles is therefore not caused by one single thing — and it isn’t simply “lactic acid sitting in the muscles”.

So where does Sports Massage fit in?

Sports Massage is targeted work adapted to how your body is being used. Depending on what I find, a session may focus on overloaded muscle groups, areas of persistent tension, mobility or recovery between periods of training.

And you certainly don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from it.

It can be suitable if you:
• train regularly at the gym
• run, cycle or play sport
• have a physically demanding job
• repeatedly load the same muscle groups
• feel tight or restricted after training
• want massage to be part of your recovery routine

Sports Massage also doesn’t mean simply pressing harder.

Good Sports Massage is about understanding which tissues need attention, choosing the right techniques and adapting the treatment to the person in front of you.

Your muscles work hard for you.
Sometimes they need intelligent recovery too. 🤍
