Hello, people of the Chop!

Now, I’m sure many of you have been aware, quite a lot of you have been here with us since the start, I have been until this point the only employed person at the salon.

Ian obviously owns the business and Jhon, Andy, and Sophie are all self-employed people. Now, the world is becoming a more and more complicated place. and subsequently, the struggle is very real for a lot of us, myself included.

So from the 1st of November, I too will be a self-employed person.

I will still be at the shop. the way you book your appointments, nothing like that is going to change. But whereas, we had always relied on your custom and your loyalty. I will rely on that even more so now because you’re literally going to be paying my rent in more ways than one. I’ll be honest, it’s a bit terrifying. I’m 39. going self-employed was not on my bingo card for this year, but here we are. as I said, nothing really should change. I’ve hoped that we’ve built this salon, and shop on community and support. and honesty. and obviously, I will keep as much of that as we can going forward always. Our values in that will not change. But yeah, terrified. Thank you guys. I do have appointments available, so be sure to book in.
