Either follow the signs once you get close to Maison Marengo, or google maps either of those locations and you will see a mark for Island Scents, that is us, and we look forward to seeing you at our distillery & shop soon.

5 things people get wrong about the Coco de Mer 🌴 (No. 1 surprises almost everyone.)
Our nuts are never harvested. Each one ripens for 6–10 years on the palm, and we only collect it once it falls on its own. The palms grow wild, and a surplus of fallen nuts is left untouched in the forest to regrow.

In 1587, a Coco de Ner was set in gold for an emperor’s collection. More than four centuries later, we discovered its scent. 😲
1999 • A historic cinnamon kiln in Au Cap becomes Island Scent Distillery

Then • The husk reveals a
fragrance no one had ever bottled
✅ 2021 • A patent for extracting the essence inside the husk
Today, every bottle is still made by hand at Turtle Bay, Au Cap. Come smell the story on a free distillery tour.
