We were really impressed with the founders of SnapSlide who took a really innovative and refreshing look at something so simple, many of us never give much thought to it. For anyone struggling with grip or dexterity challenges, this pill box is a great way to maintain independence while keeping your medications safe with children around.

Excited to be exhibiting at the New York State Occupational Therapy Associations annual meeting this weekend. Anyone attending NYSOTA should stop by and learn about SymplBrush and how we can help your patients.

We can admit it- when we said SymplBrush is for users of any ability, we definitely weren’t thinking athletic ability. Maybe more of us should be like Dan, a SymplBrush user since 2022, and bring our SymplBrush along for 30 hour ultramarathons?!?🤔

It started as an idea in 2017: can we modernize one of the most ubiquitous tools in the world? How is it possible that the toothbrush hasn’t evolved in design in over a hundred years?
What followed was years of countless rounds of design and engineering. Circuit boards taped together on a workbench. Pediatric samples next to adult samples, brushed side by side until the fit, the bristles, and the feel were actually right — not just close enough.
Then 2020 happened. If you’ve ever tried to build a physical product through a global supply chain crunch, you know: shipping delays, chip shortages, costs changing by the week. COVID made every step of production harder than it had any right to be. We kept going anyway.
We launched in 2021 — and we didn’t stop there. Every version of SymplBrush since has been shaped by real feedback from real families, which is exactly why we went back to the drawing board and rebuilt it from the ground up for v2, launched in 2025.
Here’s the thing about ideas: an idea is just a thought until someone is stubborn enough to chase it. What is an idea worth if you lack the inspiration to make it come to life? Ours came to life because giving up was never really on the table.
Today, that idea is helping thousands of people take better care of themselves every single day. Not as a gimmick — as a best-in-class assistive tool that brings real independence to an activity of daily living that more people struggle with than most will ever know. Brushing your teeth sounds simple until it isn’t, and for so many people — kids, aging parents, people with sensory sensitivities or limited mobility — it isn’t.
SymplBrush is here for all of it. For everyone who needs it, and everyone who just wants an easier, better way to brush. That’s the whole point.
From a sketch in 2017 to helping thousands of people brush better every day — this is what happens when you refuse to let a good idea die on the workbench.

Traditional brushing asks for two minutes of precise, repetitive motion — reaching every surface, at the right angle, with the right pressure.

SymplBrush’s U-shaped design surrounds the teeth and cleans all surfaces at once, in about 30 seconds.

It’s not a shortcut. It’s a different way to solve the same problem — one built for people traditional brushing wasn’t designed for in the first place.

Watch how it works, then let us know what questions you have.

Brushing your teeth sounds simple. For a lot of the people and families we work with, it isn’t.

Here are three challenges we hear about constantly from caregivers, OTs, and SLPs:

Autism and sensory sensitivity — the texture, sound, or feeling of a traditional toothbrush can be overwhelming.
ADHD — a routine that requires sustained attention and repetitive motion can be hard to start and even harder to finish.
Limited mobility or grip strength — the fine motor control traditional brushing demands isn’t accessible to everyone.

SymplBrush was designed around these exact challenges — a U-shaped design that cleans all surfaces in about 30 seconds, no back-and-forth motion required.

Which of these sounds familiar to you?

For a lot of people, brushing your own teeth is something you learn once and never think about again.

For many of the people we build SymplBrush for, it’s a moment that takes months of practice, patience, and the right tool to finally make possible.

This is what independence looks like — one small, ordinary task, done alone, for the first time.

If you’ve watched someone you care for reach this moment, we’d love to hear about it.
