October always makes me feel closest to nature 🍂

Time to strip things back. Get honest about what matters. Invest in what comes next.

This month has been full in ways that didn’t make it to the feed. A new website in progress. New marketing with new photos ✨ coming together. Getting serious about organizing BILY’s books - because how am I going to school for accounting and not practicing in my own business 😅 And learning about capital readiness through the Michigan Women Forward lab, which has been one of the most eye opening experiences I’ve had as a founder.

It’s easy to get in deep with the metrics, the momentum, the exciting opportunities - and quietly lose sight of the essence of what BILY actually is. Where we want to go.

I’ve had to be intentional about not letting that happen this season.
Three birthdays in three weeks helped with that. My dad, mine, and my niece’s very first💖. October always pulls me back to the people closest to me and I am so grateful for that. 🤎

If I were to name this month, the upcoming season and year in one word it would be rooted.
Rooted in the work. Rooted in the people I love. Rooted in the why behind BILY.

The next few weekends are about to be full and I am showing up for all of it grounded, grateful, and ready.

See you out there 💙
