It is our intention to assist in improving the long-term health of clients through a dedicated and informed therapeutic massage practice that builds strong client/therapist relationships with open lines of communication and trust. We specialize in the use of Therapeutic massage techniques to assist clients in achieving pain and stress relief. Harts+Hands was founded in February of 2015 by Heather Whitmore, LMT, an honors graduate of the Virginia College Therapeutic Massage program in Huntsville, AL. She is a fully insured and Licensed Massage Therapist through the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy.

Meet the newest member of our team, Matilda Healy! We call her Matilda because, well, she’s a mat, and Healy because she’s here to help with healing. She combines PEMF and infrared technology to support your body in some really meaningful ways.
PEMF, or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, works by sending gentle electromagnetic pulses into the body to help stimulate cellular repair and improve circulation. Many people use it to help reduce inflammation, ease muscle tension, and support faster recovery after activity or injury.
Infrared adds another layer of benefit by using gentle heat that penetrates deep into the tissue. This can help relax muscles, improve blood flow, and make it easier for the body to release tension that sits deep below the surface.
Together, these two therapies can be a wonderful addition to bodywork, offering relief and relaxation that complements the hands on work we already do. We are so excited to welcome Matilda to the practice and can’t wait for you to experience what she has to offer.

We have a new addition to the team! It’s a PEMF, infrared mat. I’m going to call her Matilda Healy. Because, well, she’s a healing mat who helps to promote wellness. Hopefully, the table is still as comfy as it’s been in the past. If not, it’s worth it for the benefits that PEMF and infrared offer. So, now we have infrared on the table as well as with the lamp. We can’t wait for you to try it out!
