I was looking for a Pink Drink to make for My Pink Friday store opening. I learned to make the Starbucks Pink Drink! So when you shop that weekend don’t forget your free Pink Drink to go! 💕

As the Christmas season approaches. I know we can’t fill our whole Christmas list wishes with shopping local small businesses but we can try to support our local businesses. I’m not saying this for just my own business.

Shopping small keeps more money in your local community, supports neighborhood jobs, and provides a more personal customer experience.

People want to complain about not having businesses in Laurens and surrounding areas but when I talk with business owners about why they had to close it was lack of support.

This year I am making an effort to shop local and support my community with at least half of my Christmas list. I’m not telling you that you have to do that but I do want to you know that when you shop a local small business instead of a big chain store that you are making dreams come true for that business owner.

Can you find a mass produced item cheaper? Maybe so, but was creativity, love, hand craftsmanship, and artisan talent put into it? Maybe not.

I don’t want to see small businesses close their doors just bc a handful of big box chain stores are easier to order online and get shipped.

Take an adventure this Christmas season. Load you and your family and friends up for a shopping day and see what the local stores have to offer. You might be surprised. I know that anyone who walks through the doors of my store is appreciated, loved, and gets great service!

Be kind…there’s not one person I know that isn’t facing some kind of battle in their life. So no matter how grouchy you feel know that being kind takes very little extra effort to turn someone’s day around.

I was at Dollar General the other day. I saw some guy was in a bad mood. I said “how is your day going” his whole demeanor changed. He started telling me his troubles and I listened. I told him that it would all get better and not to stress over it because God was going to take care of him. His frown turned into a smile and he looked relieved. He had 4 hours left in his shift. I told him to get those 4 hours finished and go home and do something that made him feel better. 3 minutes of my time to give someone hope.

Walmart is about to deliver my groceries. I’m going to open the door and let that person know how important they are. In a fast paced world full of selfishness, take a few minutes to slow down and be kind. It spreads like wildfire and makes the world a better place. God let you wake up today. You have the health to go about your day…so be nice. If you don’t have anything nice to say just choose silence if you have to. If you have to wait in line at the one Walmart register that’s open, let that person know they are appreciated when it’s your turn.

I have trouble with patience. But I have to tell myself to slow down and be kind anyway. No matter what we are face with and how much our tempers flare, take a few deep breaths and show kindness and love to other people. Enjoy this beautiful day! ❤️

Excited!!!!! Working on the store. I will be opening Pink Friday weekend then following Black Friday weekend. It’s not stocked yet but I will be working overtime until November 20th to get the store fully stocked and ready for my wonderful customers.
