I took this picture right before performing a Facial on one of my Clients.

This particular Client has been going through some things, and she simply wanted a Facial to relax, ease her mind, and give her heart a moment of peace.

As I was preparing for her appointment, I came VERY close to asking if I could take a picture of her during her Facial. After all, I haven’t posted much actual content from my Spa in quite some time, and I thought this would be a great opportunity.

But Holy Spirit gently reminded me that EVERYTHING and EVERYONE doesn’t have to be seen.

And more importantly, the timing wasn’t appropriate.

I’m SO glad I listened!

What followed was one of THEE most real, heartfelt, healing, and edifying conversations! We laughed, we shared, we encouraged one another, and God met us right there in that room.

My Clients often joke that they receive FREE Therapy Sessions when they book appointments with me. 😂❤️

But here’s what they don’t realize…

Sometimes, while they think I’m helping them, they’re helping ME.

There have been days when my Clients have unknowingly encouraged me, strengthened me, made me laugh when I needed it most, and reminded me of God’s goodness in ways they may never fully understand.

It’s a beautiful exchange, and I don’t take it lightly!

This experience reminded me of a few things.

1. Sometimes we need to STOP and simply be PRESENT.

Not every moment needs to be captured, recorded, posted, or shared. Some moments are meant to be experienced, cherished, and protected.

2. God has called some of us into the MARKETPLACE for such a time as this!

Our businesses are more than places where transactions take place. They’re also places where people walk in carrying burdens that we cannot see.

People need to be HEARD.

People need to be ENCOURAGED.

People need to be UPLIFTED.

And sometimes, people simply need to be reminded that even in the midst of life’s most difficult seasons, GOD IS STILL THERE!

3. My assignment has ALWAYS been about reaching the HEART of a person.

Yes, I’m an Esthetician. Yes, I love what I do. Yes, I take pride in providing quality services and helping my Clients look and feel beautiful.

But I also recognize that there’s a person beneath every service I perform. A person with a story, a heart, and sometimes a burden they haven’t shared with anyone.

And THAT matters to me!

I understand that this approach may never make me the most popular Esthetician in this industry. I may not have the largest following, the most viral content, or the most impressive social media presence.

And I’m perfectly fine with that!

Because I know that God has given me a Mandate, and I intend to HONOR it!

I refuse to become so consumed with building a brand that I forget the PEOPLE God has entrusted to me.
