✨ When was the last time you checked the expiration date on your beauty products?

You might be surprised to learn that some of your favorite products have a much shorter shelf life than you think!

Most beauty and hair products have a little symbol on the back that looks like an open container with a number followed by the letter M inside. This is called the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol, and it tells you how many months the product is good for after you open it.

For example:

* 6M = Good for 6 months after opening.
* 12M = Good for 12 months after opening.
* 24M = Good for 24 months after opening.

So that product you’ve had sitting in your bathroom cabinet for the last two years? It might be time to let it go! 😉

Using products past their recommended shelf life can affect their quality, performance, and in some cases, even their safety.

Beach waves ✨

I post about these a lot, but I get asked so often how I achieve beach waves / loose wave like I do!

It’s so simple, but easy to over think it.

I use a 1 inch barrel curling iron, curl holding the barrel vertically, and then I unravel and straighten the ends! The key is leaving the ends straight and not wrapping them into the barrel!

I love to finish with combing through with a wide tooth comb, and a texturizing hairspray ✨
