**To My Clients, Shop Customers, and Friends,**
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each of you for the kindness, patience, love, and support you have shown me and my family as we continue to navigate the unimaginable grief of losing my son, Ayden.
Throughout my years behind the chair, I have experienced many seasons of life alongside so many of you. However, nothing could have prepared me for the devastation of losing a child. Our lives will never be the same, and we will forever be changed by Ayden’s loss.
Many of you have reached out to ask when I will be returning to the shop and when appointments will once again be available in my chair. I am incredibly grateful that so many of you are eager to see me return, but at this time, I am simply not ready to come back to work. Right now, my two younger sons need their mom to be home, present, and available to them, especially after school, as we continue to navigate this loss together as a family.
When the time feels right for me to return behind the chair, I will begin by accepting appointments from a waitlist only. My personal schedule will not immediately reopen for public online booking. This will allow me to return gradually while continuing to give my family the time and attention they need.
To those of you who have continued to support Clipping Along by sitting in another barber’s chair, thank you. I personally chose each of the talented people you have come to know and love because I trusted them to care for our customers and serve our community. I am incredibly proud of the work they do, and I encourage you to continue booking with them and allowing them to take care of you in my absence.
I am deeply grateful and proud to be part of such a wonderful community. The outpouring of love, compassion, and support shown to our family has meant more than I could ever adequately express. During one of the darkest and most difficult times of our lives, your kindness has helped bring warmth to our hearts and reminded us just how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many caring people.
Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support as I take the time I need to be a mother to my boys, care for my family, and find my way forward.
With love and gratitude,
Melissa

Such an inspiration to be a Sensory Safe Certified barbershop. Kayla and Amanda both recently completed the Sensory Safe certification course through Andis Clipper Company after returning from their trip to Connecticut. What a great company, what a great message. We’re here to help.
