Memory Ranches

HC 60 Box 110, Wells

A family ranch in NE Nevada raising the best Driftwood horses for ranching, roping, rodeo, & barrels We run a large herd of purebred Black and Red Angus cows.

We are a family owned and operated ranch located in NW Nevada. We sell all of our bulls private treaty. We have used artificial insemination for over 40 years and believe that we have some of the best genetics available in the industry. Our horse program was born out of necessity as we ride to move, doctor, and check our cows. We have bred our horses for disposition as well as usability. Our focus has been on foundation bloodlines that have proven themselves many times over on the ranch as well as in the rodeo arena. Driftwood, Joe Reed, Leo, and Joe Hancock breeding make up the majority of our bloodlines. We have a Quarter Horse production sale in June of every other year. Our next sale will be on June 24th 2023. Go to our website for more information.

Econ is a black hided red sire that checks off the power house box. His son’s have added thickness and dimension. They are deep sided and masculine. His daughter’s are feminine and angular. Econ’s sire, on test, converted 3.4 to 1. These cattle are efficient in the feedlot as well as the range. There are a dozen bulls in our upcoming sale sired by Econ. You can bid online or come to the sale at our ranch in Wells, Nevada, on Thursday, November 5.

Our herd bull, Wave, ran the mountain last year and his work resulted in 50 calves born this spring. He is an aggressive breeding bull with lots of libido and fertility. He’s one of our highest growth bulls and is known for very good marbling. These bloodlines will produce some great market steers as well as some outstanding females. Lots 25-46 are sired by Wave and are ready to go to work. These coming 2-year-old black angus bulls will sell at our ranch in Wells, Nevada on Thursday, November 5 at noon pacific standard time.

We love a bull with good libido. Some of these sires are 7 and 8 years old, but they are chasing cows like youngsters because they weren’t over fed when they were developed. Fed to last, bred to last, and built to last! Our annual bull sale is happening on Thursday, November 5, noon pst at our ranch in Wells, Nevada.

Lots 1-20 are sired by Gus of Memory T14. This bloodline produces cattle that are very fertile, thrifty, and easy fleshing. The bulls have excellent PAP scores. The females are moderate sized with a lot of capacity making them ideal for rough country and rough feed. Lots of longevity in these cattle. Our bull sale is Thursday, November 5, noon PST, at our ranch in Wells, Nevada.
